The Heartleaf Philodendron is a vining plant that will climb or hang down, depending on the aesthetic you are looking for.

For best results provide plenty of bright, filtered light. Protect from cold and keep moist during hot periods, letting it dry out a little between so it’s not overwatered. Plant Facts

Lighting Requirements

Your Philodendron Cordatum enjoys bright indirect light. It can survive in medium light but grows slower. The variegation on the leaves will be brighter in more light. Do not put in full sun, as the leaves will burn.

Watering Needs

Water when the top half of the soil is dry. Water until liquid seeps through the bottom of the drainage hole. Discard extra water. DO NOT LET IT SIT!

Higher humidity encourages larger leaf growth but will be fine in regular humidity.

Temperature Preferences

These plants do the best in temperatures around 70-80 degrees and above 55 degrees at night.

Feed this plant monthly in the spring and summer with a basic houseplant food at half-strength.

Philodendrons are toxic to pets and humans. It can cause mouth swelling and stomach irritation when consumed.
